Your EB-5 investment funds will be invested in your name into AREI OM LP, a limited partnership which will complete and operate a geothermal electricity generating plant in southern Oregon, (U.S.A.).
It is widely recognized that the United States must reduce its dependence on oil and other fossil fuels. Hydro-power depends on the flow of rivers; wind turbines depend on the movement of air; and solar depends on the availability of clear sunlight. Geothermal, although somewhat more expensive to locate and develop, is a reliable 24 hour per day 7 day per week electricity producer. Corporations have increased their purchases of green energy 25-fold since 2001. More and more states, including Oregon, are requiring utilities that provide electricity within their borders to buy more green (renewable) electricity.
OM Power 1 LLC holds geothermal leases on private property near Klamath Falls, Oregon, (42 deg 10’30” N ~ 121 deg 37’5″ W), and has already obtained the required drilling permits, environmental permits, access permits and use permits. The electricity which will be generated has already been contracted in a Power Purchase Agreement, (PPA) with PacifiCorp Power Company in Oregon for 15 years.
Three wells are planned for the operation. Two wells provide hot brine for the turbine which turns the generator to generate electricity. The third well will be used to re-inject the brine back into the earth. A power plant has been designed and the location determined to transform the heat in the geothermal brine into electricity. The facility will be located in the immediate proximity of existing PacifiCorp electrical lines which have sufficient capacity to receive the electricity; a connection substation has also been designed and approved.
One well has been drilled to 3,775 feet and provides ample evidence of the existence of geothermal energy. This well must be completed to a depth of up to 4,500 feet and flow tests will be completed. There are other geothermal projects underway in the general vicinity and the area has long been recognized as being geothermally active; Klamath Falls has been using geothermal heat for heating the city since before 1900.
The funds loaned to OM Power will be used for drilling the remaining two wells and toward power plant construction. A 30-day test operation will be conducted prior to going on-line permanently.

The EB-5 Pathway To Permanent Residency in The United States
The EB-5 employment creation program has become one of the fastest and most reliable ways for a person to obtain permanent resident status in the United States. With relaxed eligibility qualifications and a special annual reserve of 10,000 visas, the EB-5 program opens the door to permanent resident status for families, retirees, entrepreneurs, students, business owners, professionals, and more.
HOW IT WORKS The EB-5 Program makes 10,000 visas available each year, from which 3,000 are set aside for those who apply under a “Regional Center” such as American Renewable Energy Investment Centre, LLC (AREIRC). The minimum investment is $500,000 and there are some other fees associated with the visa process as well. The $500,000 investment must be for a rural or “targeted employment area” which suffers from chronic high unemployment (at least 150% of the national rate); again, AREIRC qualifies for this requirement.
After investing through the regional center, the investor will apply to USCIS. Once the initial application has been approved, the investor and his/her spouse and/or children under the age of 21 are eligible to apply for a two year conditional permanent resident status, (Conditional Green Card). During the two years, the investor must be able to document that he/she continues to satisfy all EB-5 requirements. Conditions may be removed from the Green Card, and permanent residency status granted, after successful completion of the two year period and the petition to remove the conditions is approved.
The United States Customs and Immigration Service (USCIS) requires that EB-5 investments result in the creation of 10 full-time jobs for U.S. workers. These jobs must be created within the two year period after the investor has received their conditional permanent residency. Since this program was enacted, investment by foreign nationals has exceeded more than several billion dollars and it has also helped the economy by creating thousands of new jobs in the United States.

THE EB-5 VISA PROCESS
When applying for an EB-5 Visa, there are several forms and applications that must be filed with the USCIS.
Form I-526 Petition by Alien Entrepreneur – Supporting Documentation (Evidence)
An investor first selects American Renewable Energy Investment Regional Centre (AREIRC) as their preferred regional center and AREIRC then places their funds in escrow. After that, EB-5 investors are eligible to submit their I-526 Application for Investor Visa Status to the USCIS.
Along with Form I-526, additional information must be submitted including: Regional Center and Project Documentation, Personal Documentation, and Financial Documentation.
Many regional centers do not yet have an approved project for investment. Our Regional Center and Project Documentation have already been approved by the USCIS, so they will not need to review that information again and the processing time of the investor’s application should be decreased.
If you apply through a different regional center with project information not approved earlier by USCIS and the project information when submitted with your application is not satisfactory to USCIS, your application may be denied.
